The Zulu family takes this opportunity to thank all the people for the outpouring of goodwill and all messages of condolences that have been received, inclusive of the respect to the privacy of the family during this very trying time. The above has demonstrated to the family the high regard that Gugu was generally held, and found it befitting that his final journey should be shared with all.
To that end, the family wants to announce that there will be a memorial service held in honour of Gugulethu Mathebula Zulu (Gugu Zulu) on Tuesday, 26 July 2016 at Kyalami Racetrack starting at 11h00 and this is open to all who would like to attend. On Wednesday, 27 July 2016 there will be a Requiem Mass service. Due to space limitation, this service is limited to family and close friends.
The final leg of Gugu’s journey will be his funeral which will take place on Thursday, 28 July 2016 at Rhema Bible Church in Randburg starting at 09h00. This service is also open to all who would like to pay their last respects. Gugu will then be laid to rest at Westpark Cemetery in Randburg at 11h00.
Park & Ride service from the church-to-cemetery and cemetery-to-church will be made available at no cost and all attendants are requested to please make use of this facility to avoid traffic congestion. Food & Beverages will be served at Rhema Bible Church after the burial.
All of the above processions will conclude at the particular venue of the day and there will be no further activities (including evening prayer) taking place at the Zulu home from Tuesday 26 July 2016. The family requests that the respect shown and the observance of their privacy during this time of bereavement be maintained. We thank you.
